ABOUT US
Welcome to Shawver Farm. I’m Cindy and alongside my brother Kevin, and our families, we are proud to serve as stewards of this land, home to six generations since 1929. We continue our parents’ and grandparents’ legacy by building our business on the values they lived by – the importance of hard work, treating others with kindness, and a commitment to community.
This moment exists because of countless blessings. First and foremost, our family – though gone in form, our parents are our enduring and ultimate gift. We are grateful for our uncle and aunt for believing in our vision as well as lifelong friends and neighbors working to turn this dream into a reality.
At its core, this dream began with Kevin. Long before a shingle shovel touched the ground, he spent hours mowing the fields, riding the property lines, viewing the sunrise and sunset, watching the seasons change and imagining what this land could become. We’ve shaped this space with care, but its Mother Nature continuing to do the real work – sunsets, reflective ponds, open fields, fresh air and the gentle rhythm of quiet.

A single vision, rooted in nature, lifted by many
In 1945 our grandfather and his siblings sold a portion of the land to help establish the Cherry River Country Club, which still thrives today. He carved out the very first pond on this property to supply water for the golf greens. Born from utility rather than aesthetics, the pond soon offered Mother Nature’s finest work, catching sunsets and opening wide views of the sky. With that as his inspiration, my brother began layering ponds across this land rich with natural springs. Knowing we needed something equally remarkable to honor the heart of the land, our timberframe pavilion is perfectly positioned to overlook Grandpa’s pond.
With the pavilion in place, we set out to design a four-season venue that brings the outdoors inside. A wall of glass roll-up doors, side windows, and a warm wood interior shape the Gathering Hall. Our dad believed every visit needed a project so this has become the ultimate family-and-friends visit. We’re working hard, laughing often, and creating memories of our own along the way. Completion is expected Spring 2026. Follow our updates on Instagram and Facebook.
